Abstract

An Emergency is an event, or imminent event, outside the scope of normal operations that requires prompt coordination of resources to protect the health, safety, or welfare of people, or to limit damage to property and the environment. The purpose of this JACOS-wide Standard is to define JACOS’ systematic approach to Emergency Management to ensure an ongoing process to prevent, mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from an incident that threatens life, property, operations, business continuity or the environment is in place. This Standard enables operational discipline and is alignment with JACOS’ Health, Safety and Environmental Management System (HSE-MS).
