Abstract

This paper deals with the current issue of the use of waste materials in high-performance concrete. Specifically, this work investigates waste glass from photovoltaic panels, which is examined in terms of chemical composition, optimization of concrete mixture, experimental verification of mechanical properties and durability of concrete mixtures, and ongoing chemical reactions are monitored. Thermal properties and absorbability are verified and compared. During the process of optimizing the mixture, attention is paid mainly to the alkali-silica reaction, which can significantly disrupt concrete samples through cracks. The important thing is to use local raw materials in the production of mixtures. This paper contains basic research to verify properties of HPC with waste glass from photovoltaic panels which leads to practical applications.
