Abstract

This chapter introduces federal support – mainly NIH – because most agencies and foundations generally use NIH’s model of grant review and vetting to some extent. We start by discussing common myths about grantsmanship and how to “work the system.” That includes emphasis on finding ways to publish throughout the award period and beyond.
