Abstract

This paper briefly describes a peer mentoring scheme which leas adopted to improve the retention rate of female students in an undergraduate Business Computing course. A detailed evaluation of the program follows. The evaluation considers both the experiences of the participating young women and their retention rate This retention rate is compared with the retention rate of students not participating in the intervention strategy.
