Abstract

We are developing a comprehensive concept in which primary school pupils are taught about the whole body: its structure and functions, as well as how best to treat it such that it will remain healthy and beautiful for a long time. This article describes a one week prevention program about the skin. The teacher and a physician prepared and performed the teaching together. We hope that primary prevention projects presented in a light hearted manner can lead to a longlasting appreciation of the need for preventative health measures rather than curing diseases or symptoms. By means of presenting essential information in a lively, joyous and fun-oriented context, we hope to encourage the pupils to eventually take responsibility for their own health and body
