Abstract

AA-type amyloidosis of the genitourinary tract is a rare phenomenon and few cases are described in the literature. We report a 42-year-old man with ankylosing spondylitis, who developed hematuria, bilateral hydronephrosis, and renal failure caused by AA amyloidosis. © 2010 Informa UK, Ltd.
