Abstract

The suppression of pathogens in nutrient solutions and the root zone by microbial stabilization was investigated. Preliminary studies with 10 different bacterial isolates showed that tomato growth could be stimulated under lab. and greenhouse conditions. Two Pseudomonas isolates kept their plant growth promoting effect even in the presence of Pythium ultimum var. ultimum.
