Abstract

This article introduce some of the topics of public health philosophy that are present in current debates. At the end of the text, the contributions to the collective compendium are summarized. Each of the texts presented here addresses a fundamental philosophical question related to public health. The compendium of texts is not intended to be systematic, but does comprise some of the more urgent philosophical issues in current public health. I summarize 13 chapters written by prominent philosophers and epidemiologists who share the same passion for the philosophy of public health.
