Groin dissection is performed for nodal metastatic disease from melanoma, skin cancer, and selected cancers of the external genitalia or anus. This chapter describes both superficial and deep groin dissection. Indications, preoperative evaluation, pitfalls and danger points, key points in documentation, operative strategy and detailed operative technique, postoperative care, and complications are all discussed.
