Abstract

This book is intended to be a compendium of the analyses and reflections on the impact that COVID-19 is having in different fields: psychological, sociological, educational, economic, environmental, and technological. The human being is characterized by having one of the cognitive conditions that has made him evolve over time, the ability to adapt to his environment. We are currently facing a health alert situation generated by COVID-19 that has crossed all borders. Pandemics not only affect lives, but also cause political and economic crises and transform society. In order to know our capacity for adaptation, this book will address certain topics with the aim of knowing the opinion and the results that different authors, from different fields of science, can provide us with in this regard. Finally, this book aims to present part of the knowledge about the consequences of COVID-19, as well as to lay some of the proposals on how to deal with these consequences. We believe that all professionals with the responsibility in different fields considered here, or even in the wider context, should be aware of the consequences that COVID-19 can have on people and their conditions and, consequently, should be able to suggest possible solutions to recover social, economic, and personal well-being. We are convinced that this will be an interesting project.
