Abstract

The paper focus on the integration between digitalization technologies and evaluation tools. in particular how Building information Modeling (BIM) and the Geographic Information System (GIS) can be integrated to support Cost-Benefit Analysis in the first step of the project evaluation process as set forth in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and the Guidelines for the project’s technical and economic feasibility issued by the Italian Ministry of infrastructure and sustainable mobility (MIMS). BIM and GIS, along with BIM plug-ins to be further developed, provide useful tools to the calculation of NPV as requested in the above guidelines.
