Abstract

The nasal tip is a three-dimensional structure. Projec-tion, width, and angle of rotation impact appearance. This cartilaginous component of the nose is composed of the lower lateral cartilage and is influenced by the more cephalic components, such as the upper lateral cartilage and bony vault. Internally, the septum sup-ports the overlying structures. Cartilage strength and skin thickness play a large role in the shape of the tip. © Springer-Verlag 2008.
