We show our experience and main problems in the using of Learning Management System (LMS), Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and E-learning tools to prepare a subject: Project of Research II in undergraduate Biomedical Engineering program at Electrical Engineering School, in ISPJAE university (Instituto Superior Politécnico "José Antonio Echeverría"). A LMS local server (Moodle) and some elements of Problem Based Learning (PBL) was used in this subject, and we obtained interesting results with our students using different recourses, such as: Lectures, Unload and Share Documents, Blog, WIKI, Online Quizzes, Online Discussions, and Students Workgroup. We show the results related with the students accepting of this alternative (semi-virtual education) and this educational experience will be used in others subjects to permit better flexibility in professional student's preparation and better efficiency of teacher's work-time. © 2013 Springer.
