Abstract

The major contribution of this paper is a novel security framework, which is inspired by the principles of Artificial Immune Systems (AIS), for Nature inspired routing protocols in general and for Bee-Hive in particular. We have designed an empirical validation framework to demonstrate that the new framework provides the same security level as BeeHiveGuard, a digital signature based cryptography framework. But the processing and communication costs of the new framework are significantly smaller as compared to BeeHiveGuard. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2006.
