Abstract

This book is primarily a collection of approaches to the study of the phenomenon of leadership hubris from the perspectives of a variety of academic disciplines — neurological, psychological, medical, organisational-behavioural, among others. The chapter which follows is an exception in that it is based upon one of a number of personal reflections on business leadership offered to conferences of the Daedalus Trust and its co-organisers by men and women occupying or having occupied positions of leadership, wielding considerable power and authority both within and beyond their organisations.
