Abstract

A new compound, p-hydroxyphenethyl trans-ferulate, was isolated together with 7-(3-methyl-2-butenyloxy)coumarin from the roots of Heracleum lanatum Michx. var. nipponicum Hara. Both compounds strongly inhibited the growth of the roots of Brassica rapa L. var. pervidis Bailey. © 1982, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan. All rights reserved.
