Mean field models for spin glasses: Some obnoxious problems

Abstract

Despite steady progress over the last 10 years, the study of (the statics of) mean field models for spin glasses remains very difficult. We discuss some of the ideas behind the recent progresses, and some of the most blatant open problems.
