Abstract

A simple transmission line analysis is presented for interaction of plane electromagnetic waves with multilayer planar structures of general physical properties. An experimental setup is described that can be used to measure the same effects. The design of radomes (transparent antenna covers) is shown to depend on knowledge gained from such theoretical empirical studies.
