Do realismo à emancipação: o papel dos fatores econômicos nos estudos de segurança

Abstract

O artigo pretende demonstrar que os fatores econômicos desempenharam um papel subordinado ao rationale realista na subárea dos estudos de segurança durante a maior parte de sua história. Após o fim da Guerra Fria, a blindagem realista que impedia que fatores econômicos fossem tratados per se nas abordagens tradicionais foi rompida por abordagens que colocaram os indivíduos, e não mais os Estados, como sujeitos de segurança.The aim of this paper is to demonstrate that economic factors were subordinated to the realist rationale in the subfield of security studies in almost the entire period of its existence. After the end of the Cold War, the realist shielding that hindered the treatment of economic factors per se in traditional approaches was breached by approaches that considered the individual, and not the State, as the subject of security.
