Relación entre la protección de los datos personales y el derecho de acceso a la información pública dentro del marco del derecho comparado

Abstract

Proven tension between access to public information and protection of personal data in the Chilean right, in this paper we examine the link between these two legal rights within the framework of international law. The study is made from the examination of various legal models, in association with the review of the concept and principles of access to information and sources of legal regulation of the protection of personal data. This work is developed as part of a broader effort in the search for a balance in the relationship between these two legal rights.
