Abstract

The sudden explosion in recent years of nonsurgical rejuvenative techniques is patient-driven. The modern patient, man or woman, desires quick, safe and predictable nonsurgical techniques that will confer some form of facial rejuvenation and at the same time allow them to get back to work or their social lives with a minimum of downtime. By that is meant a modicum of bruising and swelling for 2-3 days (i.e., over a weekend) and not the 2-4 weeks of downtime and scars that often accompany open surgical techniques. © Springer-Verlag 2007.
