Abstract
This paper aims to evaluate an improvement-tripling the number of cycling in the UK by 2010, which may contribute to environment and urban road congestion. Then the related cycling policies will be reviewed and discussed in this essay. After that, the achievement in the 'Ten Year Plan' since 2000 and prospects will be given in the following text. Finally, some possible improving measures will be presented as a conclusion. © 2012 Springer Science+Business Media, LLC.
