The parental guidance, its links with psychotherapy and well handling. - The parental guid- ance is a largely use notion. However, its relationship with psychotherapy and with norm is still open. Does parental guidance belong to psychotherapy practice, or is it a different practice ? Is the parental guid- ance linked to an accurate idea of « well handling », with the risks of normalisation that this could include, or is it independent of any reference of this kind ? The author studies the differences between parental guidance and psychotherapy. He shows that parental guidance leads to parents' attitude changes beyond only simples modifications of behaviour. He explores, moreover, the possibility of thinking good-treat through the paradigm of « doing» (praxis) rather than through the one of « making » (poïesis).
