Abstract

This paper discusses the analysis of English diary idioms and their Uzbek counterparts establishing the level of equivalency, or non-equivalency in some cases. In order to succeed in my attempt I bring forth theoretical input on idioms and equivalency as a process of translation. I also exhibit a clear overview of the observed idioms by undertaking a report analysis.
