The growing increase in students with disabilities in university classrooms expresses the need to improve certain aspects in the educational system, the teacher being the main axis. The main purpose of the study is double, on the one hand, evaluate the degree of knowledge that university teachers have about how to use technological tools to provide support to students with disabilities; and on the other, identify academic and demographic variables that significantly explain the development of digital teaching competence in the university context. The methodology of the present study consists of a transversal investigation with a descriptive and predictive approach made to a total of 2072 university professors from different autonomous communities in Spain, being evaluated through an instrument composed of 56 items. The results of the research warn of the knowledge of spanish university teachers in digital competence as support for students with some type of disability, in addition to confirming that age and gender are not factors that have an impact on teacher training, unlike the contrary of The experience of these and the ownership of the educational center.
