Abstract

No changes in forest production have previously been reported in either field or laboratory trials. The effect of nitrogen availability is a likely factor affecting forest growth. Two different computer simulations, using data from northern hardwood forests, are used to evaluate the effect. The results, however, are contradictory; insufficient data on decomposition rates may be the cause.-R.Land
