Abstract

Developing ontology of properties and units of measurement includes fundamental properties links and units of measurement, as well as links that show the formation of concepts. General accepted metrology definitions used as the basis of ontology construction. Semiotic ontology nature taken into account: ontology includes the signs system – appellations, designations, linguistic constructions that represent information in a communicative form, as well as concepts, measures, relations that allow modeling the reality. Examples of ontology applying in the consistent representation of objects parameters analysis are shown and their using in automatic properties and values extractions from texts.
