Abstract

This article highlights the peak of geographic information systems (GIS). These systems use has grown these last years applying to a great number of sectors. In this document we will focus in the use of theses systems in the epidemiologic filed, where the use of this kind of technology is essential to identify and avoid possible threats. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
