Lasers and flashlamps are the mainstay of treatment of vascular malformations of the skin. A thorough understanding of the principles of selective photothermolysis will allow the laser practitioner to use the right device with appropriate wavelength and pulse duration at right fluence to effectively and safely treat the vascular lesion in their patients. In this chapter we will focus on use of such lasers in the treatment of vascular indications.
