Abstract

In this paper, we consider a continuous time queueing-inventory system with customers' registrations and stochastic inventory on the replenishment policy of (s, S). Using the method of matrix analysis, we obtain the steady joint probability distribution of the number of customers in the orbit and the inventory level. Various system performance measures in the steady state are derived and the long-run total expected cost rate is calculated. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2013.
