Abstract

SPAGOS project brings about a framework that, unlike current approaches, fosters a holistic solution for security and privacy-awareness in the provision of eGovernment services. In that respect, it proposes a distributed platform spanning across all the entities participating at the eGov service provision chain and managing the communication, storage and processing of information in a secure and privacy-aware manner. The core principles leveraged towards the creation of secure transactions are the use of advanced security and privacy mechanisms that have never been used within eGov and an advanced role of the eIDs, notably not only as passive identification tokens, but as essential functional components undertaking critical processing tasks.
