Abstract

Achieving diagnostic excellence for sepsis is less about determining whichpatientsdefinitivelyhave sepsisandmoreaboutimprovinghow to accurately identify who among those with the precursor condition requires intervention to prevent evolution toward fully established sepsis.Meeting this challengewill require development of tools and strategies that are acceptable to patients and can be deployed efficiently and effectively in community settings.
