Abstract

The World Health Organization estimates that in 2018, 1.5 million people died from tuberculosis — higher mortality than that caused by any other single infectious agent. This interactive graphic provides a guide to the history, epidemiology, and clinical characteristics of tuberculosis and highlights the obstacles to and strategies for containing infection.
