Abstract

Arterial hypertension is a global medical and social problem, which is the most common noncommunicable disease in the world. Taking into account the observed growth of this pathology in children, we have analyzed new approaches to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of arterial hypertension in children. An analytical review and comparative analysis of international literature data is presented. New positions in measuring "office" and home monitoring of blood pressure for the diagnosis of arterial hypertension are discussed. The main approaches to stratification of the risk of arterial hypertension are considered. The basic principles of therapy are summarized, antihypertensive drugs recommended for the treatment of children with arterial hypertension are given.
