The author defends the notion of analyticity against Quine's attacks. Using his method of relativizing to contexts he claims that we can maintain the revisability of any sentence and proceed to a strict distinction between analytic and synthetic statements. Contrary to Kant's the relativized concept of analyticity does not rest on meaning but on semantical and pragmatical rules introduced in a specific context.
