This study discusses the impact of the interests and independence of learners in learning on their learning outcomes. This research includes quantitative research with an ex post facto approach. Population determination using saturated sampling techniques and taking grade VIII learners were numbering 96 people as a research population. The research was conducted at State Junior High School 1 Tombolo Pao with instruments in the form of learning interest scale, independence scale, and documentation sheet. The data is analyzed statistically descriptively and inferentially (double regression). The results of the analysis for interest in dominant learning fall into the high category. On the independence of dominant learning the results fall into a category that is also high. The learning outcomes of the dominant learners fall into the moderate category. Statistically inferential results show that interest and independence in learning positively impact learners' learning outcomes with a coefficient of determination of 48.1%.
