Podcast: utilização da mídia como instrumento na educação formal

Abstract

Resumo O modelo educacional tradicional vigente é oriundo de um período em que a velocidade da produção, do acesso e do processamento das informações ocorria de forma mais lenta e gradual. A entrada na Era Digital, o aumento no volume de informações e o surgimento de inúmeras plataformas de acesso a conteúdo trouxeram outra perspectiva e, por conseguin-te, exigem uma nova estrutura de ensino-aprendizagem que considere as mudanças do século XXI. Nesse aspecto, a mídia podcast representa um desses novos formatos de acesso a conteúdo e, para compreender sua aplicabilidade na educação, faz-se necessário conhecer suas principais características, bem como analisar o contexto do seu surgimento e da sua di-vulgação no Brasil. Neste trabalho, examinaremos a mídia podcast como instrumento da educação formal, sobretudo em razão da mobilidade como sua principal característica, como ela funciona, de que maneira é utilizada no Brasil e qual é o perfil do ouvinte, entre outros aspectos. Com base nessa análise, levantaremos as possibilidades de utilização na educação formal, como instrumento de integração dos alunos com o conhecimento e com a tecnologia, tendo o professor como mediador e catalisador desse processo. Abstract The traditional educational model in force comes from a period in which the speed of production, access and processing of information occurred more slowly and gradually. The beginning of Digital Age, the increase in the volume of information and the emergence of numerous platforms for access to content have brought another perspective and therefore demand a new teaching-learning structure that considers the changes of the 21st century. In this aspect, the podcast media represents one of these new formats of access to content and, to understand its applicability in education, it is necessary to know its main characteristics , as well as to analyze the context of its emergence and its dissemination in Brazil. In this work, we will examine the podcast media as an instrument of formal education, especially because of mobility as its main characteristic, how it works, how it is used in Brazil and what the profile of the listener is, among other aspects. Based on this analysis, we will take a look at the possibilities of use in formal education, as an instrument for integrating students with knowledge and technology, with the teacher as mediator and catalyst of this process.
