Penggunaan Gaya Bahasa Simile dan Personifikasi serta Citraan pada Kumpulan Puisi dalam Novel Cinta, Kehidupan, dan Kematian: Kahlil Gibran Karya Mulasih Tary dan Yazid Attafsir

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of simile and personification as well as imagery in a collection of poems in the novel Cinta, Life, and Death: Kahlil Gibran. The research data are in the form of sentences in a collection of poems which contain two comparative language styles, namely simile and personification and contain images from a collection of poems in the novel Cinta, Life, and Death: Kahlil Gibran. This study uses Gorys Keraf's theory in the discussion of figure of speech and Burhan Nurgiyantoro's theory in the discussion of imagery. This study uses an objective approach with a qualitative descriptive method to describe the use of words and sentences embedded by the creator in his work. The results of the study found: (1) The
