Abstract

Application Construction Environment (ACE) is an environment for the specification, development and generation of telecommunication services. The ACE environment specifies, designs and validates through: integrated editors assisting the analysis and design phases, and supporting the specification and the definition of entities defined at the level of information and computational models; syntax and type checkers that perform a first syntactical screening and control on the specification; code generators that deploy and run applications on real Common object request broker architecture (CORBA) platforms; and graphical simulation environment for the functional validation of the service logics through symbolic execution of the user-level specifications.
