Human being is capable of thinking rationally as well as irrationally. This thinking process is closely related to human emotion and behavior. Emotional-psychological problem often was caused by certain irrational way of thinking and believing that reflect misunderstanding and misinterpretation toward the outer world as well as on oneself in relation with the other. Indoctrination generates self-verbalization which is self-defeating and damaging toward human emotion and behavior. This research aims to examine the dynamic of "irrational belief" in an educational context of seminary with the help of Albert Ellis' Rational-Emotive Therapy. One irrational belief in focus says that "One needs to be loved and well-received by all". From three in-depth interviews that irrational belief is confirmed in the community of seminarians. Accordingly, education such as in seminary needs to be able to help each seminarian to go beyond his irrational belief to grow cognitively and therefore to become emotionally, psychologically, spiritually more mature.
