Abstract

Time constraint is a key problem in workflow management. Now, with the emergence of new technologies such as web service, grid, this problem has become more complicated in service-based, loose-coupled workflow models, in new models. This paper presents a fundamental time model for service-based workflows. Then, based on the model, it focuses on some typical temporal problems in service-based workflows. © Springer-Verlag 2004.
