Abstract

Regulation of microRNAs (miRNAs) in response to abiotic stresses constitutes a major part of the biology of plant miRNAs. In this chapter, we exclusively review the current progress in the study of roles of miRNAs in plant abiotic stresses. The responses of various miRNAs to different types of abiotic stresses are discussed in detail. Finally, the perspective for application of the related studies and the future of plant biology are briefly presented. © 2009 Springer Science+Business Media B.V.
