The new age Concepts of Energy: the case of the Brazillian Naturology

Abstract

CONCEPÇÕES DE ENERGIA NA NOVA ERA: O CASO DA NATUROLOGIA BRASILEIRA Resumo: Objetivou-se explorar como o termo “energia”, emprestado da área científica, é articulado no meios novaeristas, estudando o caso da naturologia. Analisamos artigos, projetos pedagógicos e uma dissertação sobre os cursos de naturologia brasileiros. A energia foi entendida como aquilo que mantém coeso o processo terapêutico. Identificamos também que alguns naturólogos alegam que essa noção de energia os fragiliza academicamente. Palavras-chave: Naturologia. Nova Era. Curas energéticas. Religião e saúde. Abstract: Tthis study aims to explore how the term “energy”, borrowed from science, is articulated among newagers, by studying the case of naturology. We analyze papers, pedagogical projects and a master thesis regarding Brazilian naturology courses. Energy was understood as that which holds the therapeutic process together.
