Abstract

The synthesis of some novel guanylhydrazones derived from aromatic aldehydes (benzylideneaminoguanidines) is described. Structural assignments of these compounds as well as of some already known congeners, particularly with respect to the configuration of the HC=N double bond, were achieved using1H- and13C-NMR data as well as homonuclear NOE difference spectroscopy. © 1992 Springer-Verlag.
