Abstract

Event-related potentials (ERP) reflect external/internal stimuli. It is of our interest in the current study to investigate ERPs from spontaneous motor actions. Spontaneous motor actions are voluntary motor tasks carried out at an individual's own pace. Various properties of spontaneous motor actions are revealed through event-related desynchronisation and event-related synchronisation. These properties are reported and discussed in this paper. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
