Vibrational dynamics of nitrosyl stretching mode of [RuCl 5 (NO)] 2- in water was studied by two-dimensional infrared spectroscopy. Observed temperature dependence of the correlation function of vibrational frequency fluctuation clearly shows that the time scale of the hydration dynamics was mostly determined by collective dynamics of hydrogen bonding network of water.
