Abstract

This entry traces the term mission, starting from the perspective of the Mizo tribal community, which has long been the object of Western missionary activities. It discusses how the term developed, how mission practices continue today, and ends with a brief description of how the term is being perceived and used in the contemporary religious field as well as outside it.
