Abstract

Paroxysmal dyskinesias are a rare heterogeneous group of conditions manifesting as abnormal involuntary movements that recur episodically and last for only a brief duration [1, 2]. Paroxysmal dyskinesias can broadly be classified to primary or idiopathic and secondary. An overview of the secondary forms is presented in Table 32.1 [3, 4]. However, in this chapter we will only review the main forms of genetically determined paroxysmal dyskinesias.
