Recent developments in the therapeutic approach for treating cerebrovascular disease have been remarkable. According to the type of cerebrovascular disease, a new guideline has been created for the application of each therapeutic technique as a result of the accumulation of many successful researches. In this paper, I briefly state the current topics of cerebrovascular disease from the several view points. First, how to make a database, and the results of analysis of the database for Japanese people. Second, how to treat patients with cerebral infarction by application of anti-aggregation therapy, anti-coagulation therapy, thrombus-melting therapy and cell protection therapy for brain tissues. Third, to what extent can we apply intra-vascular operative treatment, and finally, the possibility of introducing as a new technique brain cell reproduction therapy.
