Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the methanol extract of the meat fresh of avocado fruit (Persea americana Mill) and fresh meat of cavendish banana fruit (Musa cavendishii) to the total of cholesterol mice. This study uses 24 female mice that have weight between 35-45 g. Animal research are grouped into four groups as follows, P1: Control were given aquadest; P2: were given extract banana only; P3: were given extract avocado only; P4: were given extract avocado and banana. Extract were given for five day by oral 0,2 m with dose estract 6,6 g. Blood taken from the heart of embryo mice then calculate the total of cholesterol with cholesterol check tool. The results showed that, there is an increase in the total of cholesterol. The total of cholesterol among treatment groups: P1: 148,33 mg/dL; P2: 148,83 mg/dL; P3: 148,83 mg/dL; P4: 148,83 mg/dL. This indicates that there is no effect of avocado fruit extract (Persea americana Mill) and cavendish banana extract (Musa cavendishii) at mice cholesterol.
